Requirements for transportation of
decesed persons to Peru
Transportation of deceased persons to Peru requires the
following documents:
1.- Death certificate (English original and Spanish
translation)
2.- Autopsy certificate, only in case of violent death (English
original and Spanish translation)
3.- Embalming Certification (English original and
Spanish translation)
4.- Health certificate stating that the Body is free
from any contagious disease.
Additionally, the transportation of dead bodies,
including ashes, must observe the administrative rules
established by the international carriers, as well as
the rules established by the Peruvian and local health
authority.
All theses documents must be presented in the
English original along with the Spanish translation to the Consulate
General of Peru in Atlanta in order to be properly
certified
